I was thinking today: Wouldn't it be cool for cats to have something sort of like, marriage? 
Obviously, we can't use that word, but you know, make it an official thing for mates so they are bound to each other unless they break it off like a divorce. Since Firestar in the books right now is creating new training methods, I think it would be a cool idea to give cats something like a marriage, maybe StarClan's way of keeping two cats in a permanent love relationship.
Leader: May all cats gather here beneath the (Highledge, Riverstone, etc.) for a linkage (the cat word for marriage).
Clan cats: (gather) (not all cats are required to show up, but parents and relatives probably should)
Two cats that will become official mates: (step forward before the leader)
Leader: We are gathered here today to join together (tom's name) and (she-cat's name) in holy matrimony before StarClan and (cat's Clans). These two cats have shown their love for each other before all and are ready to be linked (cat word for marriage) for the rest of their lives (unless they get "broken", a divorce). (tom's name), repeat after me. I, (name), take you, (name), to be my friend, my lover, the (mother) of my kits and my mate. I will be yours in times of plenty and in times of want, in times of sickness and in times of health, in times of joy and in times of sorrow, in times of failure and in times of triumph. I promise to cherish and respect you, to care and protect you, to comfort and encourage you, and stay with you, for all eternity.
Tom: I, (name), take you, (name), to be my friend, my lover, the mother of my my kits. I will be yours in times of plenty and in times of want, in times of sickness and in times of health, in times of joy and in times of sorrow, in times of failure and in times of triumph. She-cat: I do.

The Clan must recognize that these two are together for life. Cats may not have more than two cats, a tom and a she-cat, in linkage. Cats from different clans are NOT allowed to link, because it's against the warrior code. Enjoy the linkages!
